    tvOS 26.2 disponible le 12 décembre 2025: mode enfants, Apple desserre la laisse

    Disponible le 12 décembre 2025tvOS 26.2 ajoute un mode enfants dans l’app Apple TV et autorise des profils sans compte associé. Une mise à jour de salon, pas un nouveau moteur.

    Le jardin clos ouvre un portillon

    Les versions intermédiaires de tvOS se concentrent généralement sur les correctifs et la stabilité. Cette fois, Apple ajoute deux fonctions visibles: un profil peut être créé sans être relié à un compte, et un profil enfant peut activer un mode dédié dans l’app Apple TV.

    Le déploiement touche aussi la gamme HomePodpuisque tvOS alimente également les enceintes connectées d’Apple. Sur les Apple TV 4Kla mise à jour ajoute par ailleurs davantage d’éléments Liquid Glassdans la continuité du redesign lancé avec tvOS 26. Le reste se joue surtout sous le capot. Pas de nouvelle puce ni de benchmark multicœur à faire claquer sur la table.

    Sans compte, le profil reprend ses droits

    Le changement le plus pratique concerne la création des profils. Sur une Apple TV partagée, un enfant, un invité ou un membre du foyer peut désormais disposer d’un profil sans qu’il soit nécessaire de le relier à un compte Apple.

    Cette option évite de créer une identité supplémentaire pour une personne qui utilise seulement l’écran du salon. Elle ne fait pas sortir Apple de son écosystème fermé: les fonctions qui nécessitent un compte restent liées à ce compte. La différence porte ici sur l’accès au profil, pas sur toute l’expérience Apple.

    Le compte Apple cesse d’être le ticket obligatoire pour entrer dans un profil. Pour une soirée familiale, c’est moins de réglages et moins de comptes créés pour rien. Pas de quoi retourner une keynote, mais le canapé respire.

    Le mode enfants ne garde pas tout le jardin

    Une fois le profil défini comme profil enfant, les parents peuvent activer un mode dédié dans l’app Apple TV. La fonction vise donc l’environnement de visionnage proposé par cette application, avec un profil distinct de celui des adultes.

    Le périmètre mérite d’être gardé en tête. Un mode activé dans l’app Apple TV ne devient pas automatiquement un réglage universel pour chaque service de streaming installé sur l’Apple TV. Les applications tierces conservent leurs propres contrôles. Le jardin est mieux clôturé, mais il a encore plusieurs portails.

    Liquid Glass: le vernis, pas le turbo

    Avec tvOS 26.2Liquid Glass gagne du terrain sur les Apple TV 4K. Apple prolonge ainsi le chantier visuel de tvOS 26qui avait aussi retouché l’app Musique et plusieurs fonctions audio.

    Cette version ne transforme pas le boîtier en nouvelle machine. Aucun gain de performances chiffré ni score de benchmark n’est mis en avant, et une Apple TV branchée au secteur n’a pas d’autonomie à mesurer. La nouveauté matérielle attendra; ici, Apple passe une couche de peinture et corrige ce qui doit l’être.

    Le mode enfants est la nouveauté utile; Liquid Glass reste la couche de finition. C’est moins spectaculaire qu’une nouvelle génération de puce, mais plus directement pertinent dans un salon partagé.

    Quatre gestes, pas de keynote

    Le parcours repose sur quatre étapes simples:

    1. Installez tvOS 26.2 sur l’Apple TV.
    2. Créez un profil sans le relier à un compte Apple si l’utilisateur n’a pas besoin d’un compte complet.
    3. Définissez ce profil comme profil enfant.
    4. Activez le mode enfants dans l’app Apple TV.

    Si plusieurs services de streaming sont utilisés dans le foyer, vérifiez ensuite leurs propres réglages de contenu. Le mode enfants de l’app Apple TV ne remplace pas les contrôles proposés séparément par les applications tierces.

    Apple ne lâche donc pas son jardin clos. Il y ajoute un portillon, ce qui est déjà beaucoup quand un profil peut enfin entrer sans présenter son compte à l’accueil.
